The 25th International Tourism and Travel Fair took place in Algiers, Algeria, from May 18 to 21, and Shandong had a special "Hometown of Confucius, Friendly Shandong" pavilion.

The Shandong exhibition showcased the province's cultural and tourism resources through photo walls, videos, and intangible cultural heritage displays, such as dough figurines, hanfu (traditional Chinese attire), and kites. A tea-themed ceremony offered tastings of Qufu's three-course tea and Rizhao tea, illustrating the Chinese philosophy of harmony.

The Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism participated in the event under the guidance of the Chinese Embassy in Algeria and the Cairo China Cultural Center. Algeria's ministers of tourism, information, and foreign trade, along with the diplomatic corps, visited Shandong's pavilion.
