More than 2,000 international buyers from over 110 countries and regions across Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, along with more than 4,000 domestic purchasers, are meeting directly with local manufacturers in Linyi, Shandong province, as the 4th Linyi Trade City International Sourcing Conference kicked off Oct 28 with a focus on on-site sourcing and matchmaking.

The event, which will run until Oct 30, features an opening ceremony, an export commodities expo, a special sourcing session at the newly opened Linyi International Product Selection Center, and a targeted procurement matchmaking fair. Fifteen district-level events and buyer inspection tours are also taking place.

The export commodities fair hosts 10 product zones and 1,200 standard booths, showcasing Linyi's competitive industries such as machinery and equipment, boards and hardware, and daily necessities.

The targeted procurement matchmaking fair invites 40 international buyers and 60 quality export manufacturers from Linyi's hardware and building materials sectors. The 60,000-square-meter Linyi International Product Selection Center, which opened on Sept 28, pools local source factories and enables buyers to explore the whole market under one roof.

The conference offers one-stop foreign trade services, digital pre-matching, and cultural experiences to immerse global buyers in Linyi's charm.

Linyi, known as the "Logistics Capital of China", is accelerating its internationalization and digital transformation. With the advantage of having combined policies for market procurement as well as cross-border e-commerce and year-round operations at its expo and selection centers, the city is upgrading from a logistics handler to a trade organizer.

In the first three quarters, Linyi helped more than 2,300 enterprises expand into overseas markets, built 18 international product selection centers, and set up overseas service stations in 11 countries. It also established one-stop trade and legal service centers to help enterprises secure overseas orders, accelerating Linyi Trade City's global reach.
