As the shipping industry accelerates toward decarbonization, demand for greener and smarter marine power systems is rising fast. Shandong-based Weichai Power presented its latest green and intelligent marine power solutions at the World Maritime Equipment Conference 2026, held in Fuzhou, Fujian province, from Oct 16 to 19. The company aims to advance green-intelligent integration and support sustainable development across the blue economy.

Weichai showcased a comprehensive portfolio spanning traditional, clean, and new energy. The lineup included M+WH series diesel engines, methanol engines, marine battery packs, and silent generator sets, covering applications from high-end yachts and official vessels to inland cargo ships and ocean-going vessels.

The 16M23 diesel engine, with high power density and low vibration and noise, delivers rapid acceleration while ensuring a quiet and comfortable experience. The 12M33 emergency generator set, known for its reliability and fuel efficiency, has been batch-equipped on large container ships.

For the zero-carbon transition, Weichai is advancing pure electric and hybrid marine power systems, along with the industrialization of battery packs and hydrogen fuel cells. The WHM6230 methanol engine, featuring dual supercharging and in-cylinder direct injection, ensures higher reliability and lower emissions.

Beyond green transformation, Weichai is accelerating intelligent upgrades with a cloud-ship-APP integrated platform for engine health management and remote operation and maintenance, empowering the full lifecycle value of marine equipment.
