What can China and Africa learn from each other?

At the main event of the Shandong Dialogue on China-Africa Good Governance in Jinan, Shandong province, on Sept 22, Eric Mupona, vice-chairman of the China-Zimbabwe Exchange Centre, shared his thoughts on the common values found in Confucian thought and the ancient African philosophy known as Ubuntu, or "humanity" — and why good governance should put people front and center.

He noted that platforms for China-Africa dialogue can provide opportunities to share experiences in governing and developing their countries through two-way exchange, rather than one-way transfers.
