An action plan featuring 55 flagship projects and 20 supporting activities will advance people-to-people exchanges and cooperation across the Asia-Pacific over the next two years.

The Asia-Pacific Civil Society Partnership Action Plan was released on Sept 2 at the Asia-Pacific Civil Society Conference in Jinan, Shandong, with initiatives covering people-to-people exchanges, healthcare, youth development, economic and trade cooperation, and cultural exchanges.

The conference, themed "Reaffirming Commitment to Cooperation, Pooling Civil Society Strength, and Jointly Building an Asia-Pacific Community" is a key precursor event of the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, which will be held in Shenzhen, Guangdong, in November.

The event was jointly hosted by the China NGO Network for International Exchanges and the Shandong Provincial People's Government and brought together guests from 36 countries for dialogue on regional cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.
