Shandong's robotics industry made a strong statement at the 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC) from Aug 19 to 23 in Beijing, where a delegation of local companies showcased how robots are moving from eye‑catching demonstrations to real‑world problem‑solvers.

The Shandong delegation includes Jining-based ROKAE, Qingdao's Haier AI Home Robot, and Jinan's Keya Electron, spanning the entire industrial chain from core components to full systems and service robots. 

ROKAE, a first‑time exhibitor, drew crowds with its force‑controlled robotic arms capable of lifting up to 20 kilograms, with applications now extending to massage and rehabilitation. Haier unveiled its "AI kitchen genius" CR3 cooking robot – capable of handling the full cooking process and self‑cleaning – alongside the "Haiwa" cleaning robot and an AI exoskeleton for seniors. 

"Robots doing housework aren't about flashy looks, but solving real, everyday tasks," said Cong Dachao, Haier's strategic director.

Specialized players are also making their mark. Guoxing Intelligent Technology demonstrated explosion‑proof patrol robots and fire‑fighting units that have already been deployed in fire departments and chemical plants across China. Jinan Keya Electron connected with over 20 supply chain partners within days of the conference.
