The inaugural CMG World Robot Mount Tai (Taishan) Competition was launched in Tai'an, a city in East China's Shandong province, on July 28, transforming the ancient hiking trail from Hongmen to Zhongtianmen into the world's first embodied intelligence competition track. The 4.5-kilometer trail, with nearly 3,000 stone steps and a 600-meter elevation gain, has become a natural testing ground for robots.

The competition merges heritage with innovation. As the robots navigate the rugged terrain, their perception, balance, endurance, and ability to avoid obstacles are put to the test, while the mountain's natural complexity provides valuable real-world training data.

Alongside the competition, the Taishan Embodied Intelligence Industry Summit, a robotics exhibition, and investment forums will bring together leading companies, research institutions, and investors, transforming the event into an engine for industrial development and technological advancement.

Artificial intelligence innovation is now entering a period of rapid development, where interconnected intelligence, human-machine collaboration, cross-sector integration, and co-created sharing are unleashing immense energy and providing unprecedented opportunities.

After years of strategic planning, Tai'an has built a solid industrial foundation and computational capacity. The city has been recognized as one of China's 23 cities actively developing the data labeling industry, has attracted high-end robotics projects, and has developed a municipal computing resource scheduling service platform, completing its first computing power transaction.
