Allan Joseph Chintedza, ambassador of Malawi to China, highlighted Linyi's industrial strengths and its potential for deeper cooperation with Africa during a visit to the city in Shandong province on July 10.
The visit was part of the Linyi China-Africa Economic and Trade Dialogue with Diplomatic Envoys to China event, which brought together diplomats from Gabon, Malawi, Senegal and Cameroon to engage with local businesses and explore cooperation in trade, infrastructure, and construction machinery.
"It has industries that are highly relevant to Africa's development agenda," Chintedza said after touring Linyi Trade City, one of China's largest wholesale market clusters, and Shandong Lingong Construction Machinery (SDLG), a leading Chinese construction machinery manufacturer.
He expressed optimism about strengthening ties with Linyi-based companies and encouraged more firms from the city to explore business opportunities in Africa, contributing to broader China-Africa cooperation.
