Print PrintThe third China (Linyi)-Kenya International Commodity Expo opened at Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi on July 2, bringing 96 Linyi enterprises to East Africa with products ranging from machinery and building materials to household goods and auto parts.
The three-day event connects East African buyers directly with Linyi manufacturers, helping reduce intermediate links and offer more competitive prices for quality products.
Exhibits also include hardware, new energy products, daily necessities, food and vehicles, highlighting the diversity of Linyi’s source supply chains and its strength as a major trade and logistics hub.
For participating companies, the expo is more than a display platform. It offers a way to understand local demand, meet buyers face to face and develop long-term partners across East Africa. After three years of cultivation, the event has become a practical example of how a Chinese local city can deepen links with African markets.
Kenya, an economic center and regional logistics hub in East Africa, serves as a key gateway for companies expanding across the continent. Linyi is using the expo as part of a broader push to help its trade markets and local enterprises expand overseas.
Backed by its industrial base and global trade network, the city is helping more cost-effective Linyi-made products enter Africa while supporting deeper China-Africa trade cooperation over the long term.
