Jinan's China–Europe freight train service has launched its first multi-country consolidated freight train linking Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye, expanding its international logistics network.

The inaugural train departed from Dongjiazhen Station in Jinan, carrying 110 standard containers of agricultural products from Shandong province.

The new transportation model combines cargo bound for different countries onto a single train, allowing operators to organize shipments more flexibly according to market demand while improving loading efficiency and enhancing the stability of international logistics services.

The service is expected to strengthen supply chain connectivity with Türkiye and the broader Balkan region while providing local enterprises with more efficient access to overseas markets.

From Jan 1 to June 18, the city operated 596 China–Europe freight trains, up 38 percent year-on-year. During the same period, services along the southern corridor recorded 14 train journeys.

Following the successful inaugural journey, Jinan plans to begin regularly offering the multi-country consolidated service, further improving cross-border logistics channels for enterprises engaged in international trade.
