Bard East/West Ensemble dazzles on Taishan Mountain peak

On June 7, the Bard East/West Ensemble delivered a stunning cross-cultural performance at the summit of Taishan Mountain, captivating visitors with a fusion of Eastern and Western musical traditions. Before the concert, a welcoming ceremony was held at the visitor's center. Artists were presented with red scarves — symbols of peace and good fortune — and a special Taishan Mountain cultural souvenir, as a token of cross-cultural friendship.

The ensemble then climbed to the summit, where guides shared stories from Taishan Mountain's millennia of history, cultural heritage, and natural wonders. The artists were deeply inspired by the mountain's majesty.

The open-air concert began on Taiping summit, featuring a blend of classic Chinese and Western pieces. The closing piece, My Motherland and Me, became a heartfelt sing-along with the audience, creating an emotional climax.
