Print PrintMore than 300 young business leaders from across China gathered in Jinan for the Eighth All-China Young Entrepreneurs Conference, which began on June 2. The event offered entrepreneurs the opportunity to explore the city's industrial strengths, innovation ecosystem, and business opportunities through dialogue and site visits.
To showcase its economic vitality, Jinan organized tailored inspection routes covering sectors such as big data, next-generation information technology, biomedicine, smart manufacturing, and new energy vehicles. Participants visited Inspur and other leading companies, gaining insight into the city's industrial transformation and green development efforts.
Jinan's selection as the host city highlights its growing appeal as an investment destination. In 2025, the city's GDP reached 1.42 trillion yuan ($209.5 billion), while its industrial economy continued to grow through a modern industry value chain system. Strategic sectors, including electronic information, automotive manufacturing, steel, high-end software, and specialized equipment, have each surpassed 100 billion yuan in output value.
Private enterprises became a key engine of growth. The city was home to 1.52 million private market entities in 2025, generating 2.68 trillion yuan in revenue and contributing more than half of Jinan's GDP. To support entrepreneurs, local authorities have introduced measures to improve the business environment, including regular government-business dialogue.
The city's appeal is further supported by strong connectivity. Nearly 660 high-speed train services connect Jinan with 366 cities each day, while the Xiaoqing River offers direct access to the Bohai Sea.
With a strong industrial base, efficient transportation network, and increasingly business-friendly environment, Jinan is becoming an attractive destination for young entrepreneurs seeking new opportunities and long-term growth.
