With the opening of the 5th RCEP (Shandong) Import Expo in Linyi in East China's Shandong province on April 20, the city's cultural tourism pavilion has emerged as a standout attraction for visitors.

Linyi is known as China's largest commodity distribution hub. With its internationalization and digitalization drive now in full swing, Linyi is steadily establishing itself as a key link in global supply chains.

Spanning 72 square meters, the cultural tourism pavilion is divided into various functional areas, each showcasing the unique charm of Linyi. A central screen displays iconic scenes such as the Langya Ancient City, captivating many visitors. "I only knew Linyi as a commodity city before, but its natural beauty is stunning," said a buyer from South China's Guangdong province.

The intangible cultural heritage interaction zone is another major draw, featuring live demonstrations by artisans. The creative cultural product zone displays unique items like bamboo-slip bookmarks and canvas bags, while performers in traditional hanfu dance joyfully, drawing admiration and applause from visitors.

The Linyi International Travel Service Co Ltd offers promotional brochures and special discounts for attendees, encouraging them to explore local attractions. Representatives from scenic sites like Langya Ancient City and Yimeng Mountain Tianmeng Scenic Area are on hand to provide more information about their respective areas.

According to an official from the city's cultural and tourism bureau, 35 local attractions are offering exclusive discounts for buyers and suppliers.

After experiencing Yimeng textiles and tasting Yishui rice cake, one buyer from Africa said in newly learned Chinese, "I want to visit Linyi to see the real mountains and waters."

The expo runs until April 22.
