Print PrintDongying has completed the shipment of all 30 wind turbines for the 250 MW Xiangyun Island offshore wind project in Tangshan city, North China's Hebei province.
On March 14, the final four turbines, manufactured at the Dongying factory of CSSC Technology, were loaded and shipped from Guangli Port. With the delivery of the last unit, the project has now entered the offshore installation phase, bringing it closer to operation.
The turbines are designed for areas with steady but not very strong winds. Each turbine has a rotor diameter of 230 meters, enabling it to capture more wind and generate more power. At full capacity, a turbine can generate 8,500 kWh of electricity per hour. Over a year, a single unit can produce more than 25 million kWh, enough to supply a large number of households.
Guangli Port facilitates a fast and smooth process. Due to its layout, large equipment can be transported from the factory to the port in just minutes. The port has handled over 2,000 shipments of wind power equipment and other heavy machinery.
With improving port services and more companies establishing operations, Dongying is becoming a key base for offshore wind equipment, supporting clean energy development in the Bohai Sea area.
