One of China's leading central State-owned companies in the power equipment manufacturing industry, Shandong Electrical Engineering & Equipment Group Co Ltd (SDEE), has stated its commitment to establishing itself as a world-class manufacturer and system service provider.

After years of growth and development in American markets, SDEE's business in the Americas has entered a stable growth stage. By strengthening partnerships with governments in the region, utilities and electric power companies, the company says it has significantly increased its brand recognition and reputation across the Americas, laying a solid foundation for broader global expansion.

SDEE, headquartered in East China's Shandong province, has built its reputation in the Americas through its supply of a range of high-end power transformers, biodegradable oil transformers and high-voltage cables, which have been integrated into power grids across the region with the aim of producing cleaner energy.

All 20 transformers (50-MVA transformers rated 230 kV, 138 kV, and 69 kV) supplied by SDEE to Honduras are now operational, covering the transmission corridor from the capital, Tegucigalpa, to the economic hub of San Pedro Sula. According to the company, the project has significantly boosted power stability for the Central District and Palmerola International Airport.

In Ecuador, SDEE's 225-MVA, 230/138-kV transformer is now online in Guayaquil, connecting to the country's national grid and ending a three-year substation bottleneck that left locals dealing with power outages.

In addition, SDEE recently secured a contract in Chile for seven 250 MVA/500 kV desert-grade transformers, designed for high-altitude, drought and earthquake-prone zones, with the aim of infusing "Shandong wisdom" and "Chinese strength" into Latin America's energy optimization and grid upgrade.

To date, the company's products and services have been introduced to 17 countries across the Americas, including Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador and Honduras, establishing a strong network and customer base in key Central and South American markets. In the first half of this year, the company reported a 19 percent year-on-year revenue increase in the Americas.
