The Shandong (Liaocheng) Tour of Foreign Consular Officials event took place in Liaocheng, East China's Shandong province, from Oct 22 to 24. The event aimed to provide foreign consular officials in the province with deeper insights into Shandong's inland regions and to boost the province's foreign exchanges and cooperation.

At the same time, the Promotion Conference on Industrial Cooperation was held, drawing 70 attendees from home and abroad.

The consuls introduced their countries' strengths in high-end manufacturing and tourism services and expressed interest in deepening cooperation with Liaocheng. Representatives from Liaocheng's commerce, culture, and investment promotion departments highlighted the city's favorable investment environment and development opportunities. Seven local enterprises showed their products and core technologies in fields such as biomedicine and new materials, capturing the consuls' interest.

During the event, the consuls visited leading Liaocheng enterprises like Gambol Pet Group and Zhongtong Bus to observe the city's industrial capabilities. They also explored the ancient city, experiencing local culture and traditional crafts.
