Anaclaudia Rossbach, executive director of UN-Habitat, recently praised Weihai, located in East China's Shandong province, for being a vibrant coastal city.

Rossbach said that the 2025 Weihai Exquisite City Forum provided a great platform for cities worldwide to share experiences in housing and to inspire innovative solutions to urbanization challenges.

"Weihai is one of China's most vibrant coastal cities," she said. She also hoped that the city would continue to share its successful experiences through UN-Habitat's platforms and activities, to help build more resilient and sustainable cities for future generations.
