A Linyi (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei) investment promotion event in Beijing on July 15 saw the signing of agreements on 22 projects focusing on emerging industries as well as Linyi's advantageous industries, including new energy, modern medicine, and high-end equipment.

Linyi, the most populous and largest city by area in East China's Shandong province, is ideally located at the intersection of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Yangtze River Delta regions. It is connected to Beijing by two major highways and a high-speed rail line. The city has already attracted 485 projects from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and set up seven talent hubs there.

Linyi is also known as the "logistics capital of China" due to its extensive transportation network. It is home to the largest cluster of markets in China, with 136 professional wholesale markets and over 6 million types of goods. The city's logistics network reaches all county-level cities and ports in the nation, with costs 30 percent lower than the national average. Linyi is also a major e-commerce hub, with 60 e-commerce parks and 210,000 online merchants.

At the promotional event, representatives of Linyi said that the city is focusing on building 13 signature industrial chains, including high-end panels, green home furnishings, new energy commercial vehicles, and bio-manufacturing. It aims to achieve a trillion-yuan-valued ($139.22 billion) industrial economy. In addition, it also offers a business-friendly environment, with streamlined approval processes and strong support policies for entrepreneurs.
