Shandong-based Shandong Heavy Industry Group has emerged as a strategic powerhouse in recent years, expanding into international markets and accelerating its globalization efforts.

The group has been adjusting its export strategy since September 2024, focusing on high-potential and high-value-added markets such as the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Europe. By leveraging its strong brand portfolio and high-quality products, it has secured numerous large orders. For example, its subsidiary Zhongtong Bus secured an 895-unit electric bus order for Chile's capital, Santiago.

In the first half of this year, Shandong Heavy Industry Group's export revenue and profits grew by 5.6 percent year-on-year. The group's heavy-duty truck exports maintained the top spot in the industry, while light-duty truck exports surged by 73 percent.
