Print PrintIn recent years, Jining has organized large-scale cultural exchange activities such as the China International Confucius Cultural Festival, the Nishan Forum on World Civilizations, and the CMG Forum. Through innovation and openness, it has built a bridge for civilizational dialogue, upgrading international communication from "cultural export" to "value dissemination".
Museums in Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan, and Jining recently initiated online cultural exchanges. The Turkic stone statues displayed at the Tokmok Museum of History and Culture are important historical materials for China-Kyrgyz relations. The Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 24) pictorial stones at the Jining Museum have been praised by Kyrgyz scholars for their exquisite artistic achievements.
The cultural interactions between the two places have become increasingly close through the "stone" bond on the internet.
Inspired by this, multiple departments in Jining have collaborated to carry out international communication cooperation. They have launched an online exhibition featuring Chinese culture on Han pictorial stones on the X (formerly Twitter) platform. The exhibition provides interpretation of the images and texts in multiple languages such as English, Japanese, and Korean, telling the cultural connotations of classic stories like Confucius, and showcasing Jining's rich traditional cultural heritage.
Today, with 30 sister cities in 22 countries, Jining continues to enrich the pathways for international cultural interaction. It collaborates with 30 overseas tourism offices, Chinese cultural centers abroad, and international new media platforms such as Facebook and X to conduct cultural promotions. Over 600 reports in English, Korean, Japanese, and Russian have been published, reaching nearly 5 million people.
