From June 18 to 20, the 6th Qingdao Multinationals Summit (QMS) is being held at the Qingdao International Conference Center. This year's theme, "Multinationals and China - Connecting the world for win-win cooperation", features an opening ceremony, a high-quality development forum for multinational corporations, three thematic events, and parallel activities covering four major sectors.

QMS is a national-level open platform organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Shandong province. It supports Shandong's high-quality development and enhances its role in promoting national openness.

The event invites representatives from various provinces and cities to highlight advantageous industries and collaborative projects. It offers interactive platforms such as economic and technological development zones and free trade pilot zones. Additionally, it has collected and released 2,142 key investment projects from across China, helping multinational corporations benefit from a more open Chinese market.

Attracting high-quality investment is crucial for Shandong's economic growth. The summit focuses on investment attraction and trade cooperation to integrate global industrial and supply chains. Key areas for cooperation include new quality productive forces, service trade, digital economy, and green low-carbon initiatives, aiming for broader, higher-level, and wider-field collaboration with multinational corporations.

The summit will also introduce a forum on overseas fund investment cooperation, identifying over 90 billion yuan ($12.52 billion) in investment demands. This forum invites globally renowned sovereign funds, private equity funds, and investment institutions to engage with Shandong, blending the province's industrial strengths with multinational financial investments.

As of June 16, 570 multinational company guests from 43 countries and regions had confirmed their attendance. Among them, a record 83 guests at the vice-president level or above will participate, marking the highest number in QMS's history.
