Shandong is showing its latest advancements in consumer goods and manufacturing, with a particular emphasis on "Smart plus" technology, at the fifth China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) in Haikou, Hainan province, which runs from April 13 to 18.

This year's CICPE is notable for its global participation and record scale, with over 4,100 brands from 71 countries and regions. Shandong's delegation of 28 enterprises is displaying a range of innovative products, including AI-enabled wearable devices and low-altitude economy applications.

For example, one Weihai-based tech-enterprise is demonstrating AI smart glasses that offer real-time language translation and other smart features. Additionally, Qingzhou Naiwei Intelligent Technology is showcasing a vehicle-mounted unmanned reconnaissance system, highlighting the integration of intelligent technology with emerging economic sectors.

These innovations reflect a broader trend in which AI is becoming an integral part of consumer products, deeply embedded in various industries.

This CICPE not only highlights Shandong's commitment to technological innovation but also underscores the province's active role in the global consumer market.

As consumers' demands evolve, companies like Haier are adapting by launching products such as "lazy washing machines".
