Linyi, East China's Shandong province, held a recruitment and career promotion event at Shandong University's central campus on Oct 14 to attract young talent and deepen cooperation with the university.

The event, held as part of Linyi Day at Shandong University, brought together 61 companies, five local colleges and universities, and five municipal hospitals in Linyi. 

More than 1,400 jobs were offered, spanning fields such as high-end equipment manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, new materials, information technology, education and healthcare.

At the opening ceremony, Shandong University and the Linyi Municipal People's Government signed a cooperation agreement focusing on scientific and technological innovation, talent recruitment and development, cultural exchanges, and medical and educational collaboration. 

Agreements on nine science and technology cooperation projects between Linyi and the university were also signed at the event, covering fields such as biotechnology, chemistry and new materials. 

The event also featured displays of local products, food experiences and interactive activities, giving students an opportunity to learn more about Linyi's local industries, culture and lifestyle.
