"I see an extremely modern industrial environment in Yantai," said Jost Gärtner, managing director of ALUMAG Automotive GmbH, during the Multinational Corporations Yantai Business Tour event held in Haiyang, a county-level city in Yantai, East China's Shandong province, on Sept 9.
The event, featuring the theme "Multinational Corporations and Yantai: Advancing Green Development, Pushing Innovation and Forging the Future", brought together more than 200 representatives from multinational corporations and international business associations and organizations.
Based in Germany, ALUMAG Automotive GmbH is a business consulting and service company specializing in market research, market development and business development, with a particular focus on the automotive industry and lightweighting technologies.
Gärtner said that Yantai is well suited to energy-intensive industries such as casting, rolling, steel and aluminum, while also offering strong infrastructure for emerging sectors including biochemicals, artificial intelligence, new energy, the low-altitude economy and aerospace.
The business tour provided multinational companies with an opportunity to explore Yantai's industrial strengths and development potential, he added.
