Wulian Mountain in Rizhao, East China's Shandong province, is redefining the mountain scenic spot experience. Known for its granite peak forest landscape and vast wild azalea fields, the scenic area is shifting from sightseeing to a year‑round leisure destination.

Ecological protection comes first. The site is divided into conservation, buffer, and experience zones to preserve its natural beauty. Ancient relics are restored with care, while green practices such as new energy sightseeing vehicles and water recycling have been implemented. The effort has earned the area national forest park status.

Culture is woven into the journey. Visitors can explore the heritage of Song Dynasty (960–1279) poet Su Shi at the Bailouhe, discover the Qi Great Wall, and join workshops on local crafts. The scenic area also hosts azalea festivals, mountain concerts, and live performances.
