More than 20 children took part in a summer painting activity at the new era civilization practice station in Fujiatun community, Jinqueshan subdistrict, Linyi, on July 12. Guided by community volunteers and parents, the children painted their dream communities. The activity was part of the subdistrict's efforts to promote civic awareness and encourage community participation through a range of public programs.

In recent years, Jinqueshan subdistrict has promoted community development by combining volunteer services, public education and cultural activities. Relying on its new era civilization practice stations, the subdistrict has organized themed lectures on rural vitalization, volunteer programs and neighborhood services. It has also mobilized community workers, police officers, legal advisers and volunteers to support grassroots governance.

The subdistrict has also worked to improve local living environments while enriching community life. In one residential community, an unused space was transformed into a leisure area for residents. The subdistrict has also organized activities recognizing model families and community role models, sharing their stories through social media platforms and community bulletin boards to encourage residents to learn from their examples.

Public education campaigns have also been carried out through mobile publicity vehicles, community bulletin boards, murals and informational brochures to promote healthy lifestyles and traditional values. From January to June this year, the subdistrict organized more than 120 activities promoting civic awareness, involving 17 model communities and 17 new era civilization practice stations.

Local officials said they will continue enriching community programs, promoting civic values and encouraging greater public participation in community activities, helping foster a more vibrant and inclusive community environment.
