Changdao in Yantai, East China's Shandong province, is launching a new immersive night tour at the Linhai scenic area on June 26, offering visitors a new way to experience the island after dark.

The tour uses 3D projections, laser and mist effects, water screens, surround sound and live performances to turn the forest, bay and night sky into part of the show. Drawing on Changdao's sea legends and mythical island stories, it offers a walking experience that blends local culture with light, sound and outdoor scenery.

The 2-kilometer route takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, guiding visitors through glowing forests, palace-style light installations, a starry beach and interactive displays that respond to footsteps. The main show, "Legend of the Sea God", uses lighting and live performance to bring ancient sea myths to life.

Unlike a traditional stage show, the tour lets visitors move freely through outdoor scenes while enjoying the natural setting. It is designed for families, couples and tourists looking for an evening activity after some daytime sightseeing.

The tour will run from 7:30 pm to 9 pm, with tickets priced at 120 yuan ($17) per person.
