China is becoming a key part of the global mobility landscape, according to Uta Schneider, vice-president of global government affairs at Avanci, who attended the seventh Qingdao Multinationals Summit being held in Shandong from June 15 to 17.
Schneider said Chinese automakers are playing a major role in shaping the future of intelligent connected vehicles, especially through advancements in smart driving systems, in-car entertainment, and cockpit technologies.
"Even back in Brussels, where I am based, I can see that Chinese vehicles are increasingly visible on European roads," she said, adding that they are competing confidently with global peers on quality, innovation, and value.
She said that Avanci recognizes the growing global footprint of Chinese automakers and will support their international expansion with greater certainty and confidence.
Avanci is an independent licensing platform that streamlines patent licensing for the connected mobility ecosystem. Eleven Chinese automotive groups have cooperated with the platform under 4G or 5G licensing programs so far.
