The Nishan House bookstore was inaugurated at the Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) on April 12, marking the second such book house in Egypt. The event was co-hosted by Shandong Publishing Group and MUST, with nearly 200 guests from the educational, cultural, and publishing sectors attending.

The book house, named after Confucius' birthplace, aims to deepen educational and cultural cooperation between China and Egypt. Shandong Publishing Group donated over 300 high-quality Chinese and Arabic books to the university's Chinese language department.

"This year marks the 70th anniversary of China-Egypt diplomatic relations. The establishment of the Nishan House marks a significant step forward in promoting mutual understanding and friendship," said Liu Wenqiang, chairman of Shandong Publishing Group.

MUST President Hala El-Menoufy expressed gratitude, noting that the book house will enrich Chinese teaching resources and marks a new milestone in Egypt-China educational collaboration.

Minister Counselor Lu Chunsheng at the Chinese Embassy in Egypt called the library a new platform for dialogue between the two ancient civilizations and a bridge connecting young people of both countries.

Students performed Chinese recitations at the ceremony, showcasing their language skills and enthusiasm for Chinese culture.
