Weichai Power reported a revenue of 231.8 billion yuan ($33.53 billion) for 2025 on March 26, marking a 7.5 percent increase year-on-year. Last year, the company's mature business segments, such as power systems and smart logistics, still served as pillars, while power and energy business grew rapidly, becoming a new driver of Weichai Power's development.

The company's traditional core segments delivered steady performance. Engine sales reached 743,000 units, while heavy-duty truck sales hit 153,000 units, with 75,000 and 59,000 units exported, respectively. New energy heavy-duty truck sales surged 262 percent to 25,000 units. Agricultural machinery revenue stood at 18.02 billion yuan, while German subsidiary KION Group AG generated 11.3 billion euros ($13.02 billion) in revenue.

The power and energy segment emerged as a new growth driver. Revenue from the M-series large-bore engine saw a jump of 65 percent to 5.81 billion yuan, with data center power product sales soaring 259 percent to approximately 1,400 units.

Additionally, Weichai Power has also established a strong foothold in the solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) sector. Through investment and licensing agreements, the company has mastered next-generation metal-supported SOFC technology, with products obtaining the European Union's CE certification and maximum power generation efficiency exceeding 65 percent. Multiple demonstration projects are already operational.

With the power and energy segment now established as the seventh core business area of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, Weichai Power is poised to capture opportunities arising from the global AI-driven surge in energy demand. The company aims to accelerate the commercialization of its power generation solutions while continuing to strengthen its traditional engine and powertrain businesses.
