The Shandong Cross-border E-commerce Development Conference began in Jinan on March 12, gathering global trade figures and offering a one-stop service platform for foreign trade enterprises across Shandong province.
Five initiatives were introduced during the event to boost high-quality development in the province's cross-border e-commerce sector. These include deepening platform cooperation, promoting industry brand development, cultivating e-commerce participants, expanding overseas channels, and improving service ecosystems.
By the end of this year, Shandong aims to add over 2,000 new cross-border e-commerce entities, nurture 1,000 sellers each achieving 10 million yuan ($1.44 million) in sales, and develop 30 leading enterprises surpassing 100 million yuan in revenue.
The event attracted official teams from 18 global e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, eBay, TikTok, and Alibaba International. Dedicated service areas facilitated one-on-one consultations with logistics, payment, and marketing providers, helping businesses tackle challenges in overseas expansion.
These initiatives create direct channels for policy and resource flow, providing practical support for Shandong's unique industries to reach global markets. The province is committed to building an open, collaborative industry ecosystem and inviting global partners to share development opportunities.
