Print PrintAs the Year of the Horse approaches, a primary school in Tai'an collaborated with schools in Lobnya, Russia, and Belarus' Ushachy district to host a trilateral Spring Festival Art Exhibition.
Chinese students infused creativity into their works, with some illustrating family reunions in vibrant hues, others painting the majestic landscapes of Taishan Mountain, and many incorporating cultural symbols from the three countries. Over 100 selected paintings and handicrafts were packaged as Chinese New Year art gifts and sent to the sister schools abroad.
In Lobnya, Russia, students were intrigued by the intricate patterns and Taishan Mountain elements in the artwork, sparking lively discussions about Chinese traditions. In Ushachy district, Belarus, teachers explained cultural symbols such as "abundance year after year", while local students tried calligraphy, writing the character fu (blessings) with genuine interest.
"These artworks are like a key opening the door to understanding China," said one Belarusian student.
Through their creativity, these young ambassadors have built a bridge of friendship across borders. Tai'an continues to deepen such international exchanges, planting seeds of mutual understanding that will flourish for years to come.
