Shandong closed 25 deals worth $6.1 billion on Nov 6 at the Shandong-Multinationals Industrial Ecosystem Partnership Dialogue, a side-event of the eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10.

Among the deals, 20 trade contracts will channel approximately $5.84 billion of energy, minerals, farm goods and machinery, while five green-field projects totaling about $290 million will build new-energy materials, high-end equipment and medical-care facilities within the province.

The event, with the tagline "Investing in Shandong for win-win future", had attracted more than 60 foreign chambers and Fortune Global 500 firms. Six Shandong cities, including Qingdao, Zibo, Yantai, Jining, Weihai, and Binzhou, introduced their upgraded industrial ecosystems.

A follow-up panel that paired Medtronic, Baker Hughes, IBM, Ant Chain and local textile giant Weiqiao Group explored how manufacturing AI models are reshaping the industrial ecosystem. With an open-door mindset, Shandong welcomes global multinationals to co-build and share the fruits of its industrial ecosystem.
