"Confucius valued learning, and our program helps adults fully participate in society. We believe the two are closely aligned," said Elaine Cohalan, innovation manager at the National Adult Literacy Agency of Ireland, also representative of the Irish adult e-learning program, which was awarded the 2025 UNESCO Confucius Prize for Literacy in Qufu, Shandong province. The prize was presented at the opening ceremony of the 2025 China International Confucius Cultural Festival.
