Hasan Group (H&S), operator of Angola's Shopping Popular and a key China-Africa trade facilitator, hosted a welcome banquet on July 3 for a 260-member delegation from Linyi, Shandong province, ahead of the 2025 Linyi Trade City Quality Products (Angola) Expo.

The delegation, organized by the Linyi Wholesalers Association and the Linyi Labor Protection Products Association, was the largest of its kind in Angola and highlighted the city's commitment to global outreach under China's Belt and Road Initiative.

“This is more than a procurement event – it's a bridge of friendship and mutual opportunity,” said Sun Bao'an, president of the Linyi Wholesalers Association. “We look forward to aligning Linyi's strong industrial clusters with Africa's vast market potential.”

During the banquet, H&S executives presented their business ecosystem in Angola, including the Shopping Popular, key projects, and plans for a localized auto city. General Manager Xiao Xuefeng emphasized the long-term vision of creating a fully integrated trade and logistics platform. Chairman Zheng Gang urged Linyi companies to use local resources and help develop overseas warehouses, industrial zones, and digital commerce hubs.

“This exhibition is a timely response to the shifting global trade landscape,” Zheng said. “It embodies a 'localization and efficiency' model that will drive sustainable China-Africa cooperation.”

Guests also viewed promotional videos and engaged in direct exchanges on digital trade, logistics, and policy support. The event offered a vivid example of Linyi's deepening engagement in African markets – and its broader ambition to connect industry and culture across continents.
