A relay race in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the World Anti-Fascist War and the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45) kicked off on July 6 in Weifang, East China's Shandong province.
Eleven students and teachers from Eltham College in the United Kingdom joined local and Tianjin runners for a week-long event. This initiative honors British Olympic champion Eric Liddell and commemorates the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism. The run symbolizes the enduring friendship and shared pursuit of peace between China and the UK.
