Linyi Trade City is gaining international momentum as local enterprises intensify efforts to explore global markets, supported by strong government backing and expanding foreign trade infrastructure. Businesses are increasingly participating in overseas exhibitions across Belt and Road Initiative countries, using these events not only to show their products but also to forge new international partnerships and integrate Linyi into the global economy.

At the recent Linyi Trade City Quality Products (Uzbekistan) Expo in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Linyi Yaoqi Trading Co attracted significant interest from local buyers. "We brought two large boxes of thermos samples, and they were completely sold out on site," said General Manager Li Zunmei, noting the high and immediate local demand.

Beyond the expo, Li visited three local markets in Tashkent, held talks with dozens of merchants, and secured partnerships with five distributors. Even before returning to China, she received new procurement inquiries from Uzbek buyers who later visited Linyi for further negotiations, resulting in direct orders for two containers of coffee pots. "Our products meet market demand, and buyers are eager to place orders," Li said, adding that her team is now working on customized designs to meet client preferences.

Li, who also serves as secretary-general of the Linyi Hotel Supplies Chamber of Commerce, plans to lead a trade delegation to Angola in July, accompanied by representatives from more than a dozen local businesses. "With strong policy support and a maturing foreign trade service system, now is the ideal time for merchants to 'go global'," Li said, emphasizing that internationalization is key to unlocking Linyi Trade City's next stage of growth.
