A tea culture salon and the "Hometown of Confucius, Friendly Shandong" cultural tourism event were held on June 9 in Athens, Greece, bringing together over 100 guests from the cultural, tourism, education, and business sectors of both China and Greece.
Angela Gerekou, head of the Greek National Tourism Organization, highlighted the significance of the event as a bridge between the cultures of Greece and Shandong, both of which gave rise to many great philosophers. She expressed hope for more collaborative projects between the two regions.
Wang Jin, cultural counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Greece, said the cultural symbolism of tea invites Greeks to visit Shandong to experience its rich cultural and natural attractions.
