Print PrintLinyi, a city renowned for its commerce and logistics in East China's Shandong province, has recently made headlines with its innovative Lego-like toys.
The firm Shandong Kadele Education Technology in Linyi has become a sensation in the international market, particularly in the Middle East, the United States, and Europe. At the China Shandong Export Commodity Fair in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in mid-April, the firm showcased its unique toy bricks with sunmao (mortise and tenon joints) structure, a traditional Chinese architecture structure. The bricks were arranged as pandas, ancient Chinese architecture, and other cultural elements. These toys not only captured the attention of foreign buyers but also secured significant orders.
This success is attributed to its early international trademark registration and strong intellectual property protection. Since its inception in 2015, the firm has registered its trademarks in 128 countries and regions through the Madrid Agreement. It has also obtained patent certifications in 38 countries via the PCT system, investing over 7 million yuan ($970,724.05) over six years. Currently, Kadele's Lego is sold on 17 overseas platforms like Amazon and is becoming a cultural ambassador of Chinese culture to the world.
