The Cambodian-style garden in Jinan, Shandong province, was built through the combined efforts of Jinan and Siem Reap province in 2021 to foster cooperative ties between the two sides.

The garden covers an area of 256 square meters and features elements of Cambodian culture, civilization, art, and magnificent Khmer architecture from the Angkor period (802-1431). It stands as a symbol of the deep and lasting friendship between Siem Reap province and Jinan.

Jinan and Siem Reap province established a friendly cooperation relationship in 2015 and have since made significant progress in governmental, trade, agriculture and education cooperation.
