Li Bai (701-62), the outstanding romance poet in ancient China's Tang Dynasty (618-907), lived in Shandong's Jining for 23 years. 

The Taibai Tower in Jining, formerly called Helan Restaurant, has been renamed to honor Li, who often drunk sorghum spirit at the spot and composed many beautiful poems there.
