The Qingdao Multinationals Summit, held from Oct 10 to 12, provides a good platform for boosting cooperation between local businesses, multinational businesses and policy makers, said Daniel Wussow, senior vice-president of BASF Mobile Emissions Catalysts, during an interview with China Daily.

Wussow spoke highly of Shandong province's business environment, saying: "There's a lot of foreign multinational investment already here in Shandong province and I assume there's more to come. For us, Shandong province is a very important market.

"We have key customers here like Weichai and Sinotruk which we work with on a daily basis. We're deepening our relationships and looking to enhance cooperations with them in the future," he added.
