At a marine farm in Lidao Island bay of Rongcheng, Shandong province, fishermen are busy farming fish, shrimp, shellfish and seaweed on July 17.
Rongcheng, a county-level city of Weihai, is a national demonstration area for the development of the marine economy. The city now has 38,000 hectares of marine farming area, raising more than 30 species of seafood, statistics from the city government show.
