A kite festival was held on a beach in Rongcheng, a county-level city in Weihai, Shandong province, during the five-day May Day holiday, attracting hundreds of people flying kites in all shapes and sizes. Whales, octopuses, dinosaurs, bears, Disney characters, and other colorful kites were flying high over the shoreline.
