The 36th Qingdao International Beer Festival will kick off at the Golden Beach Beer City in Qingdao West Coast New Area, Shandong province, on July 17, running through Aug 15.

The 30-day event, themed "Qingdao, Ganbei (Cheers) with the World", features seven functional zones and seven activity sections, aiming to enhance the city's international appeal, immersive experiences, and cultural richness.

More than 2,000 activities are planned, including beer tastings, art performances, cultural exhibitions, and international trade exchanges. The festival will showcase 2,300 varieties of beer from around the world in nine beer tents featuring both domestic and international brands.

Visitors can enjoy seafood with beer at dedicated seafood tents, explore AI-powered robot services, and experience nightly light shows, drone performances, and music concerts on the central stage.

The festival will also feature 1,000 sports and cultural events, including the "king of beer" competition, comedy shows, and the Golden Flower Award craft beer competition, Asia's largest craft beer event.

As the festival enters its 12th year in the Qingdao West Coast New Area, it continues to grow in scale and quality, solidifying its reputation as a world-class celebration of beer.
