Roses in full bloom drive rural vitalization in Qingdao town
In Lingshan subdistrict, Qingdao's Jimo district, the local rose industrial park is in its peak bloom season.
More than 3,000 mu (200 hectares) of roses in over 1,000 varieties are in full flower, filling the air with a sweet fragrance. Winding pathways guide visitors through fields of edible roses, fresh cut flowers, and rare imported species, creating a living "rose germplasm resource bank".
Lingshan has moved beyond traditional single-crop farming. By building a complete industry value chain — planting, R&D, processing, sales, and cultural tourism — the town has turned roses into a diversified, modern pillar industry. Through the "flower village and herb valley" demonstration zone, Lingshan shows how a flower-based economy can boost rural prosperity, beautify the countryside, and increase farmers' incomes.
