Starting Feb 10, immersive "classics of mountains and seas" lantern shows will be featured in Qingdao's Chengyang district. Inspired by the ancient Chinese text Shanhaijing, or The Classic of Mountains and Seas, and crafted with intangible cultural heritage lantern techniques, the event includes four themed zones and dozens of original light installations, combining traditional motifs with contemporary design.

The lantern displays skillfully blend auspicious symbols with traditional craftsmanship. Visitors can walk through seasonal landscapes integrated with classic Chinese archways, experiencing a seamless flow of Chinese aesthetics. Highlights include a 2.5-meter-tall glowing heavenly horse — a prime photo spot — and towering 12-meter-high lanterns depicting four mythical beasts, bringing ancient legends to life with vivid color and movement.

Throughout the Chinese New Year, the venue will also host the "Celebrating with mountains and seas: Savor Chinese New Year" event, with over a thousand cultural performances for an immersive festive experience.
