Qingdao Port adds two new Southeast Asia-bound services
Qingdao Port of Shandong Port Group (SPG) recently added two Southeast Asia-bound container services named CIM and SAMBAR, establishing efficient and convenient logistics corridors for trade exchanges between North China and Southeast Asia.
The CIM service is jointly operated by Evergreen Marine Corporation, Yang Ming Marine Transport, and Wan Hai Line, focusing on trade connections from North China to Indonesia and Malaysia. The service will operate on a weekly basis, using five vessels. Port rotations cover key ports such as Dalian, Qingdao, Tianjin New Port, Ningbo, Sishui, Jakarta, and Singapore. Qingdao Port, a pivotal transshipment hub of the service, will offer more direct connections for enterprises to better access Southeast Asia.
The SAMBAR service operated by Mediterranean Shipping Company will establish a maritime bridge connecting North China and major Southeast Asian ports. It is expected that six vessels will be deployed in the service, providing fixed weekly services for regional customers.
The launch of two new services at Qingdao Port is a result of SPG's port integration reforms and its cooperation with global shipping companies. With new services entering normal operations, regional connectivity will be further enhanced, and new momentum will be injected into the building of international corridors.
