(chinadaily.com.cn) | 2025-10-24

Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport has started its 2025/2026 winter flight season on Oct 26, running until March 28, 2026. During this period, the airport plans for 4,149 weekly flights, including 3,973 passenger flights.

To ensure a smooth transition, the airport has optimized its route network, adding and increasing the frequency on several routes. Domestically, 14 new destinations, such as Shijiazhuang and Ruoqiang, have been added, enhancing connectivity to regional cities.

Services to 18 popular destinations have been increased, including southern tourist spots like Kunming and Xiamen, northern winter cities like Changchun, and cities along the Yellow River basin. Furthermore, the frequency of shuttle flights to Wuhan and Kunming will rise by 6 percent.

Internationally, new routes include Phnom Penh in Cambodia and Hanoi in Vietnam, with increased flights to destinations like Cam Ranh in Vietnam and Moscow, Russia. Future plans involve launching services to Japan's Sapporo and Daegu in South Korea, while further consolidating Qingdao's role as a key hub for Japan and South Korea routes.

The airport is also upgrading its transfer services, now offering seamless cross-airline transfers with "one-time check-in and security check" through partnerships with 42 airports. With support from customs and border control, international connecting services via Qingdao to cities like Seoul and London have been launched from several Chinese cities. Additional benefits for transfer passengers include free overnight accommodation and discounted fares.

Furthermore, Qingdao airport continues to build its efficient and convenient service brand, integrating benefits for dining, accommodation, and travel, including air-rail packages and cultural experience opportunities.
