Qingdao highlighted its rich cultural heritage and dynamic urban charm to delegates of the 66th APEC Tourism Working Group Meeting on Oct 16. The in-depth cultural tourism tour, featuring the city's iconic landmarks, received widespread acclaim from the international guests.

Their journey began at the Tsingtao Beer Museum, where the brewery's century-old history was on display. Iannis Patin, commercial counselor of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission said, "While the city's landscape constantly evolves, the quality of Tsingtao Beer remains consistently excellent," praising this enduring standard.

The tour continued to the Museum of the Former German Governor's House. Officials gained deeper insights into Qingdao's modern history through detailed accounts of the architecture and its past residents. Gun Puntuhong from Thailand's Ministry of Tourism and Sports expressed great enjoyment of the visit, praising Qingdao as a beautiful city with both "appealing appearance and profound substance".

Exploring the old town's streets, delegates admired the unique Liyuan courtyards blending Western and local elements against a backdrop of red roofs, green trees, and blue sea. Kim Benedict Vito from the Philippines Department of Tourism was particularly impressed by this architectural fusion and the locals' warmth, promising to invite friends to experience the city's hospitality.

This tour not only highlighted Qingdao's diverse tourism resources but also strengthened cultural and tourism exchange bridges across the APEC region, reinforcing the city's commitment to becoming a premier international tourism destination.
